Woman arrested for Mail Piracy

Sherman woman, Katherine Dupuis, is facing charges for theft st emming from a report to the Marshall County Sheriffs Office. The incident began after the MCSO was contacted about some residents 'mailboxes being opened, and items stolen. The thefts occurred between January 4 and Janu ary 5.

Once the investigation began, Marshall County Undersheriff John Bridgeman contacted the Lighthorse Police Department and viewed and evidential video. Bridgeman was able to ascertain suspect and vehicle description. The MCSO then shared the pertinent information with surrounding agencies.

At approximately 4:00 p.m., Madill Officer Anna Gerard noticed a vehicle that matched the suspect's description traveling in Madill. Bridgeman was able to follow behind the vehicle and initiate a traffic stop.

Bridgeman identified Dupuis as one of the suspects in the theft and arrested her. The suspect was alone, but paperwork was submitted for an arrest warrant of another suspect.

Dupuis, a 42-year-old female from Sherman, Texas is facing charges for Grand Larceny and Mail Piracy.
