Although they might have started a little shaky, it turned into a perfect Spring Break for the Kingston baseball team as the Redskins notched wins in all three contests.

In the Coalgate victory, Kingston utilized final frame dramatics as the Redskins rallied from a 7-3 deficit with five tallies in their final at bat.

Rhett Coble started things innocently enough with a single and Reid Patterson and Blane Henry drew oneout walks to load the bases. Brady Greene followed with a double that plated two runs and Hayden Seeney added another with a run-scoring single.

Lander Burkhalter’s bunt scored Greene to tie the game and two batters later Brock Rumer worked a full count, base loaded walk to provide the walk off RBI.

Burkhalter pitched a scoreless seventh and was credited with the victory with Rumer and Patterson notching two wins apiece.

It took another Redskin comeback in the Hartshorne win, but not quite as dramatic.

The Redskins trailed 3-0 through three stanzas before they plated three to tie it up in the fourth. Henry opened with a double in front of Seeney and Greene singles. Rumer also chipped in a double with two outs that pushed across the final two runs.

Two more runs in the fifth put Kingston ahead to stay with a Patterson double scoring the first run and a Greene single knocking in the second.

Kingston tacked on three more runs in the sixth to put it away as they racked up 10 hits. Rumer led that charge with three hits along with two apiece from Seeney and Greene.

Seeney twirled six and two-third innings, yielding onerunonfivehitsandstruck out eight for the pitching victory.

The Redskins rode that momentumtoadominantrun rule win against Henryetta with Henry and Rumer combining for a four-hit shutout that included six strikeouts.

Coble was the offensive stalwart, posting a pair of hits along with driving in two runs. Rumer and Greene had one hit each.
